Last week I had a wonderful time card making with two friend who I meet while we all lived in Wollongong. We all just had such a relaxing time together. It really is amazing what a bit of crafting a great conversation can do for your mental well being. We were all exploring the new Floral Frames Bundle and here is one of the cards I came up with:
All supplies used in this card are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.
To create this card:
- Prepare card base from Pool Party cardstock and stamp the two floral images randomly around in Pool Party stamped off.
- On a piece of Whisper White stamping in Sahara Sand the floral frame and the two flowers from the Floral Frames stamp set.
- Colour the flowers using Watercolor Pencils and Blends Pens and the leaves only on the floral frame.
- Die cut the flowers using the matching framelits and then fussy cut the floral frame.
- Stamp the “Hello” from the Floral Frames stamp set into the middle of the frame and then adhere the cut out flowers over the top of the ones that are part of the frame (they are the same so match up perfectly).
- Die cut from Garden Green cardstock some of the leaves from the coordinating framelits Foliage Frame (It’s fantastic that all the leave framelits come in sets of two so you will only need to run it through the Big Shot once).
- Assemble the card by attaching the frame to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals and adding the leaves behind.
I used both sets of Watercolor Pencil Assortments in this card but remember that the new 2nd assortment is only available till the end of August, so order them now so that you don’t miss out!
