Teacher Gift Tin

Teacher Gift Tin

I am really excited about this week’s Product of the Week – the Copper Tea Tins! I am a tea drinker. I HATE coffee. I love to have cute tins to store my tea in. These tins are just adorable!! And best thing is that you don’t have to store tea in them, you can put what ever you like! They also make the cutest little gift packaging ever!

Product Of The Week - Copper Tea Tins

Today’s project featuring the Copper Tea Tins I’m going to be using as a Teacher’s Gift at the end of this year. Here in Australia our school year ends in December just before Christmas. I thought my son’s teachers would love this cute tin. Here is how I decorated it for them:

To create this project:

  1. Use Embossing Buddy on the Copper Tea Tins where you would like to stamp. Stamp the image in Versamark ink and then cover in Black Embossing Powder. Heat Set
  2. Allow to cool.
  3. Wipe away excess Embossing Buddy powder.
  4. Colour using your Stampin’ Blends markers.

I am super happy with how this tin has turned out. I loved that I was able to heat emboss the stamped image directly onto the tin and then colour it. I did find that the darker colour Stampin’ Blends worked better. Colours don’t blend the same way as they do on cardstock and you can see the marker lines, this is because of the non-porous surface of the Copper Tea Tins. I actually like the marker look on here. Particularly goes well with the Crafting Forever stamp set.

I decorated all four sides of the tin – the pens image on the smaller sides and the pot of paint brushes on the larger side. I added the “Just a Note” sentiment from the Better Together stamp set because my idea is to fill the tin with little note cards for the teacher to use! Its a little tin of stationary!

Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope that I’ve inspired you to be creative.

Bye for now!
