The next instalment of the In Colors Club collection went out to my customers last week. Everyone who subscribed to it received a Stampin’ Pad, a Stampin’ Write Marker, 4 sheets of A4 cardstock, 4 each of two designs 6″x6″ DSP, 5 Mini Binder Clips, 3m Grosgrain Ribbon, a FREE Sponge Dauber and a hand made card in the In Color of the month (each month they will collect a different colour). This is the card I made for September. This month for my blog post I’m focusing on Grapefruit Grove. Previously I showed you Lovely Lipstick.
All supplies used in this card are shown at the end of this post in the thumbnails. These are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store.
To create this card:
- Prepare the card base using Whisper White Thick card stock
- Stamp on another piece of Whisper White card stock the fireworks stamp from the Bokeh Dots stamp set. Trim the piece of card stock so that the stamped image completely fills the space (approximately 82mm x 53mm). Stamp “It’s a beautiful day” sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set in Grapefruit Grove
- Cut a piece of Grapefruit Grove card stock to 86mm x 59mm and adhere the fireworks stamped image to it.
- Trim a lace border piece from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper to be 86mm long and lightly pass a wedge of Stamping Sponge with Grapefruit Grove ink over the edges. Attach to the bottom edge of the above sentiment panel.
- Cut some of the large 12″ x 12″ floral Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper a bit bigger than the area you will cover and sponge it in Grapefruit Grove ink.
- Adhere the floral last to the card front. (TIP: use some Liquid Multipurpose Glue and a wedge of Stamping Sponge to get glue on the back and then adhere). Once dry trim off the edges with Paper Snips.
- Adhere the sentiment panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I really love the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, by sponging it you get different look to it which really adds to the project.
The Bokeh Dots stamp set is a new style of red rubber stamps by Stampin’ Up!® called Distinktive. When stamped they create different opacities in a single stamped image for realistic depth and intensity! I’m in love with the fireworks on I’ve used in this card.
