Frosted Christmas Card

Frosted Christmas Card

Hello Stamping Friends!
Only a few days left before the 2019 Holiday Catalogue launches! I’m so excited, though it’s kind of scary to think that Christmas is getting closer – I’m really not ready for that! To celebrate I decided my product of the week is the stamp set I fell in love with in the catalogue: the Frosted Foliage.

This stamp set is part of the Fells Like Frost Suite. The suite includes stunning Specialty Designer Series Paper. For the first card this week, I decided to feature this gorgeous DSP:

Details about this card:

  • Card Base: Whisper White Thick
  • Card Front: Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP (105 x 148.5 mm) and Vellum (85 x 128.5 mm)
  • Sentiment Label: Purple Posy cardstock cut using Frosted Frames Dies and then made smaller with the die by running it through a die cutting machine again and placing the die on the cut out and the top cutting plate only covering where you need to cut for the die to be smaller.
  • Heat emboss the branch in silver onto the vellum. Then add Shimmery Crystal Effects into the branch berries. This idea came from fellow demonstrator Connie Rae – click here to see her original project.
  • Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the Vellum to the card front. TIP: Place the glue dots behind the berries and they will not be seen.

How fabulous does the Shimmery Crystal Effects look!

As I like to, I also decorated the inside of the card and the envelope:

I liked the concept of this card and this DSP is so gorgeous that I had to make another card with this concept:

For the second card I stamped a wreath in Silver Embossing Powder and added some die cuts in Night Of Navy.

I’m really enjoying heat embossing the images from this stamp set!!

Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope that I’ve inspired you to be creative.

Bye for now!
