When I first saw the Stampin’ Up!® 2018 Sale-A-Bration Brochure at November 2017 OnStage I fell in love with the Lots of Lavender Stamp Set. I was even more happy when I saw I was able to get it in the PPP (Product Purchase Premier – selected items available to purchase before release date, only to those demonstrators who attended OnStage). A wonderful perk of being a demonstrator.
With moving to Sydney I hadn’t had as much time to experiment with the stamp set as I would have liked. Though every time I have used it I couldn’t help using the following colour combination: Basic Gray for the outlines, Berry Burst for the flowers, Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves and stems and Powder Pink for the bow. Since working with Basic Gray and not Basic Black I found it best to stamp off the Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist, its give a more subtle look with works well with the Basic Gray.
The very neat thing about this stamp set is that the tonal variations in the flowers are a part of the stamp set! Nothing else to do! How cool is that! I found when working with this stamp set its best to have all your stamps mounted on Clear Blocks before you start as there’s a few needed just to create the image.
This set of cards is my March customer thank you cards. I added some more texture to the card by layering a layer of Very Vanilla card stock that has the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This really plays well with the floral theme of the stamp set. And to really finish off the card, I added Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon with a simple knot.
I still can’t decide which version of the card I like best, flowers mounted on Berry Burst or on Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Which one do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below.
