My husband has six brothers. Yes six. Birthdays a celebrated a lot in the Tobin family. It’s really nice that we try to get together. I got into card making because of the number of birthdays we celebrate every year. We already have nine kids in the next generation!
Adult male cards are a bit of a challenge, so when my husband showed interest for the Bottled Up stamp set I knew I had to get it and make cards for this brothers with it.
To create the background, I took a quarter piece of Shimmery White A4 Card Stock and coloured it a Sponge Dauber dipped into Lemon Lime Twist (from the stampin’ pad). I coloured in circular motions starting just off the edge of the card stock and working my way in. Then using a Stampin’ Spritzer I spritzed the palm of my hand and then let water droplets fall on the the Shimmery White Card Stock. Let sit for a little bit and then pat dry with a paper towel. Once dry I stamped the rings and bubbles from the Bubble Over Stamp Set to give the paper some extra visual texture. I also double stamped with out reining to give various tones of the rings. I then trimmed it down to size.
I just love the Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes on the bottle to give the appearance of dew. My sister in law was delighted with the card, she even opened it before her husband who the card was given too! The Bubble Over Stamp Set and Framelits will be available in the new 2018-2019 Annual catalogue, but no longer as a bundle (where you save 10%!). If you like the bundle don’t wait!
