Hello everybody!
Welcome to my blog and the October Artisan Showcase where I’m using the Whimsy & Wonder Suite! This is a gorgeous suite which is perfect for all your Christmas crafting needs. I am really in love with it and was thrilled to be showcasing it for the Artisan Design Team. I created three different projects to show the versatility of this suite:

Wishing You Christmas Cheer Mini Card & Envelope:
This is a cute little gift card with an envelope. It’s so much fun to make.
The envelope:
- Die cut out four largest circles from some Whimsy & Wonder DSP.
- Fold each circle into half and then overlap one quarter of each circle with the folded edges creating a square. Adhere to each other.
- Fold in the two side semi circles and fold up the bottom one adhering it to the side ones underneath.
- You now have a cute little envelope.
The card:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade (3″x6″)
- Score in the middle and fold over (you now have a 3″ square). Burnish the fold well.
- Using the second largest scalloped die, die cut both layers but have a tiny bit of the die over the folded edge to create a card. I have mine so that it is top folding.
- Card Front: Whimsy & Wonder DSP die cut with the second largest circle die. Stamp and black heat emboss the sentiment.
- Stamp twice onto Basic White the baubles image in Memento Ink and colour using Stampin’ Blends.
- Stick to Foam Adhesive Sheets and die cut out using the coordinating die.
- Add the baubles to the card front and trim off the excess.
- Inside the card add a Basic White circle so that you have somewhere to write a short message.
You can see in this photo how the circles of DSP on the envelope meet and create a fun pattern.
May The Love of the Season Card:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade
- Card Front: Blushing Bride (10.2 x 14.5 cm) and Whimsy & Wonder DSP (3.5 x 14.5 cm)
- Sentiment: Poppy Parade
- On to piece of Basic White, stamp the large and medium Christmas trees in Mint Macaron. On to a piece of Mint Macron stamp the smallest Christmas tree in Mint Macaron. Die cut all out with coordinating dies.
- Stamp on to Basic White the holly image and colour using Stampin’ Blends. I used Mint Macaron and Poppy Parade. Die cut out using the coordinating die.
- Adhere the Blushing Bride card front to the card base. Then the strip of DSP to one side.
- Add a Wonderful Snowflake down a bit from the middle so that it is overlapping the DSP.
- Add the three Christmas trees. Add the holly.
- Heat emboss in white the sentiment onto Poppy Parade cardstock and then fussy cut out. Add to the card.
On the envelope and inside the card I stamped the large Christmas Tree in Mint Macaron.
Gift Box:
- Assemble the Kraft Gift Box.
- Inside the lid onto the acetate add a piece of DSP (5″x4″) so that is shows through.
- Add your gift inside the box and then tie the Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon around the box. I have it so that the bow is more on the top left corner.
- Die cut the largest scalloped circle in Poppy Parade and the largest circle in Blushing Bride. Adhere them together.
- Stamp the largest Christmas tree in Mint Macaron on to Mint Macaron cardstock. On top white heat emboss the dots. Die cut out.
- Stamp the holly image in Memento ink and colour using Stampin’ Blends. I used Mint Macaron and Poppy Parade. Die cut out.
- Die cut a scalloped circle in Poppy Parade and a circle in Blushing Bride. Layer these and adhere over the ribbon onto the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add a snowflake and then the Christmas Tree and the holly.
- Finish off by white heat embossing the sentiment onto Poppy Parade cardstock and fussy cutting out.
Hope that I’ve inspired you to use this wonderful Suite of products in your Christmas crafting this year.
