Some of my favourite things are sparkles and snowflakes. With this card I’ve combined the two and I’m in Love with it! The snowflakes and shimmer paint are coming in the new Holiday Catalogue and they are so much fun to use!

How awesomely sparkly is that shimmer paint!!!!
To create this card:
- Prepare card base in Whisper White Thick cardstock.
- Prepare card front from Balmy Blue card stock, trimming it to 105mm x 148.5mm and then trimming the angle cut off the bottom.
- Run the card front through the Big Shot using the Embossing Mats and Blizzard Thinlit die.
- Adhere the card front to the card base, then stamp in VersaMark the “Season’s Greetings” sentiment from the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. (TIP: you can cut the sentiment to create two separate stamps to have them follow the angle of the card front).
- Gold Emboss the sentiment.
- Add some rubbing alcohol to a Stampin’ Spritzer just less than 3/4 full and then poor in a bit of the Shimmer Paint. I used the Champagne colour. I found I didn’t fill the spritzer full and it was plenty.
- Spritz the whole card front. Set aside to dry – shouldn’t take too long because we’ve used the rubbing alcohol. You can use water instead but you will need to allow for extra drying time.
- Die cut a big snowflake from the Blizzard Thinlit die from Gold Glimmer Paper (TIP: cut the Glimmer Paper to size of the snowflake so that you are only die cutting the one snowflake).
- Attach some Mini Gold Sequin to behind the snowflake and attach to the card.
I took my photos in the sun so that you can see the sparkle, it’s more subtle in life but so lovely!
