Full Of Love with Rays Of Light Card For Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI139

Hello everybody!
Welcome to my blog. It’s been crazy busy few weeks but I’m so thrilled to be sharing with you the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI138. I really love this image and the colours in it. The challenge colours are: Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Pacific Point.

Here is the card I created:

Card Details:

• Card Base: Basic White Thick cardstock
• Card Front: Melon Mambo cardstock (9.3 x 13.65 cm) and Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper (9 x 13.35 cm but start with a full sheet)
• Card Insert: Basic White (10 x 14.35 cm)

• Start by creating the background. Place a full sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper onto the Stamparatus and mount the Rays Of Light so that it’s in the middle of the Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. Use the magnets to hold into place.
• Ink about 1/4 of the image is one of the four colours (I started with Melon Mambo). It doesn’t matter which colour you start with. Using a Blending Brush blend the hard edges of the ink on the stamp. Using a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water spritz the stamp and then stamp.
• Using a Stampin’ Shammy clean your stamp.
• Then ink another 1/4 of the image in a section adjoining to the one you just did. Over lap the area where the ink is. Use the Blending Brush to blend the hard edges. Spritz with a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water and stamp. Clean the stamp using a Stampin’ Shammy.
• Repeat with the remaining two colours working your way around the stamp.
• Set aside to dry.
• Stamp the closed envelope with flowers from Full Of Love stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto Basic White cardstock and then fussy cut out.
• White heat emboss the sentiment from Full Of Love stamp set onto Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut out.
• From a piece of Vellum, die cut out the large detailed flowers from the Artistic dies.
• Once the watercolour background has dried cut it down to 9 x 13.35 cm. Keep one of the sides to add to the inside of the card.
• To assemble, mount the watercolour Rays Of Light background onto the Melon Mambo cardstock and add to card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Over the spot where the circle is add some adhesive (Tear & Tape or Stampin’ Seal) to adhere the Vellum floral die cut.
• Over the Vellum adhere the envelope with flowers fussy cut image.
• Add the sentiment and some Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to finish off.

Stamp the same floral image onto the envelop (front top left corner). I added a scrap strip of the water colour background to the inside of the card.
