Hello everybody!
Welcome to my blog. Today I’m sharing the third of five cards I created for my 2021-2023 In Color Club participants. The club participants collect one of the five 2021-2023 In Colors each month and I create a new card using their colour of the month. This card was created the day the Last Chance Sale started and I wanted to show case the adorable Free As A Bird stamp set one more time. At the time of writing this post the stamp set was still available. All Last Chance items go on while supplies last as the sale starts. Click here to shop the Last Chance sale – some items are discounted up to 50% off. Sale ends 2nd May 2022 so only a few days left.
[All supplies used in this project are shown at the end of this post and are linked to my Stampin’ Up! online store. You can purchase them and create this project too! Thank you for your support of my stamping adventure]
Card Details:
- Card Base: 2021-2023 In Color cardstock (14.85 x 21cm scored at 10.5 cm)
- Card Front: 2021-2023 In Color DSP (14.35 x 6.7 cm), and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper die cut using Stitched So Sweetly Dies
- Sentiment Label: 2021-2023 In Color cardstock (6 x 1.5 cm)
- Card Insert: Basic White cardstock (14.35 x 10 cm) and 2021-2023 In Color DSP (14.35 x 1 cm)
- White Heat Emboss the birds on the branch image from Free As A Bird stamp set onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Water colour over the image using Water Painters. TIP: you can add drops of ink refills into the base of the ink pad so that you can use left over ink another time.
- White Heat Emboss the sentiment “thank you” from the Free As A Bird stamp set onto the sentiment label.
- To assemble the card, adhere the 2021-2023 In Color DSP to the card base and then using Stampin’ Dimensionals add the bird panel, positioning more the the left.
- Behind the sentiment label adhere a bit of the Open Weave Ribbon in the coordinating colour. Add Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to a strip of the 2021-2023 In Color DSP. TIP: The 2021-2023 In Color DSP used on this card is all left overs from the previous In Color Club card using the Hand Penned Petals. I have a 6″ x 3″ piece left and I used it all on this card.
- To complete the card, add some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in the same colour.
I really love how the DSP, Ribbon, & Sentiment strip have been layered
No card is complete till the envelope and inside is decorated. I stamped the birds on the branch image in the ink colour. I added the last bit of DSP left over to the inside too to tie the front of the card into the inside.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I hope that I’ve inspired you to be creative.
Bye for now!
