I love that Inspiration can come from anywhere. Last weekend I hosted and demonstrated my very first workshop. I was very nervous for a number of reasons. Firstly I’ve never even attended a workshop yet alone run one! Also because we have only been living in Newcastle for 13 months and I have invited all my friends from Newcastle even though we are still newish friends. I wasn’t sure if they would enjoy themselves or if this was something that they would be interested in. At this point I hadn’t shared anything really about Stampin’ Up! or being a demonstrator. Well, they all had a fabulous time and I forgot to be nervous and we all had a wonderful time. I did spend the morning baking too and some friends got together and purchased a yummy peanut butter and chocolate moose cake. It was a decadent afternoon.
We made a simple Make-And-Take project inspired by the current catalogue. We used the Playful Backgrounds Stamp Set (141920) and the Better Together Stamp-Set (Clear: 141736; Wood: 141733) so that everyone could create a unique card. This also gave everyone an opportunity to see the photopolymer and rubber stamps. One friend used Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim together and I was inspired to create the following card. The layout for the card came from a scrapbook page layout I recently saw.
I also made the same card using Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron with the frog from Love You Lots Stamp Set which is a hostess exclusive stamp set. My aunts birthday was coming up and she has little frogs everywhere in her apartment. I thought she might like this little cutie too.
