I’m very excited that I can finally reveal this really fun card as our nephew received it on the weekend. I had soo much fun creating this card and couldn’t wait till I could share it with everyone. So, not to waste any more words, here is the card:
And inside the best bit:
I got the idea for this card when I was browsing Pinterest. The original, by Jessica Strider card had the pop up box inside the card but the balloons where drawn on the card. I just loved how Jessica had the idea of the balloons bursting from the box. I wanted to make mine different, and have the balloons just POP out at you as if they were really floating away.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t be there when our nephew opened his card, I would have loved to see his face. My sister-in-law did message me to say she thought it was “amazing”. This feedback makes me really smile. I love that my family and friends appreciate my cards and love them as much as I love making them.
UPDATE April 2018: I’ve had a lot of requests for a tutorial for this card. I’m really pleased to say I have created one and you can see the tutorial in the new blog post: click here.
