Sweet Strawberry Floating Frame Card for aWOW Blog Hop

Hello everybody!
Welcome to my blog. Today I’m blog hopping with the Around The World On Wednesday team. We all go live on a Wednesday – quite a feat with all the different time zones we are dealing with! This month our theme is Inspiration – our favourite source of inspiration. I have to admit that I don’t have a since source for inspiration. Each project’s inspiration is unique. One place inspiration comes from for me is the stamp set it self. Generally this is the reason why I buy a stamp set. This very much the case with todays projects. The other place is from other card makers. I particularly love trying techniques that other’s have shared. Today’s projects are using Jennifer McGuire’s floating frame technique.

Hello There Card Details:

• Card Base: Misty Moonlight
• Card Front: Misty Moonlight (10 x 14.3 cm)
• Card Insert: Whisper White (10 x 14.3 cm)

• First prepare the card front. Using a Blending Brush blend some Misty Moonlight ink onto the outside edges of the card front, leaving the centre to be lighter. Then stamp the flower and leaves vine image all over – I used stamped off Misty Moonlight ink.
• Stamp and punch out the strawberries, leaves and flowers. TIP: punch out the shapes first from Whisper White cardstock and then use the Stamparatus to stamp onto the the shape. This makes it super easy. I created two templates so that I could stamp two of each at the same time. This is a two step stamp, so one I stamp the fill in and for the other I stamp the outline. This makes creating multiples so much quicker and easier. If the cut out piece gets stuck then use the Take Your Pick tool to lift it out. See pictures below:

• The strawberries I filled with Blushing Bride ink and the outline with Rococo Rose. The leaves are stamped in Just Jade ink and outlines in Shaded Spruce. The flowers filled with stamped off So Saffron and the outline is full strength.
• Once all strawberries, leaves and flowers are ready arrange them over the top of the card front and use some Glad Press ‘n’ Seal to pick up. Die cut a shape from the collection and set aside the die cut area. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back, remove the release paper and then place onto the card base. Trim off the pieces hanging over the edge with Paper Snips.
• Stamp the sentiment in Misty Moonlight on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out. Add to the cut out area.
• To finish add some Flowers For Every Season gems to finish off.

This card I finished with blending some ink on the card insert and adding some stamping on top, making it coordinate with the card front. On the envelope flap I stamped the strawberry.

Happy Birthday You Sweet Thing Card Details:

• Card Base: Misty Moonlight
• Card Front: Misty Moonlight (10 x 14.3 cm)
• Card Insert: Whisper White (10 x 14.3 cm)

• Take the die cut strawberry arrangement set aside from the Hello There card and add Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere them to the card front and add Flowers For Every Season Gems in the gaps.
• From a spare pice of Misty Moonlight cardstock die cut a larger circle and then a stitched larger circle to create the circle boarder and add around the strawberries on the card front.
• Stamp the sentiment directly onto the card front in Misty Moonlight.

To finish the inside the card I added left over punched out strawberry. The envelope flap I stamped the strawberry to coordinate!
