Artisan Showcase – In Bloom Bundle

Artisan Showcase – In Bloom Bundle

Hello everybody!
I’m super excited to share here on my blog my first Artisan Design Team projects. For the January Showcase I was asked to use the stunning In Bloom Bundle and Sale-A-Bration Paper Blooms DSP. The heros of these products are definitely are the Pierced Bloom Dies. You can work with the dies alone as they do not cut out any stamped images but you will want the stamp set too to create some fun flowers!

  • Card Base: Whisper White
  • Card Front: Whisper White (10 x 14.3 cm)
  • Heart: Whisper White
  • Sentiment Strip: So Saffron (10.5 x 2.2 cm)
  • Die cut a whole bunch of flowers from Whisper White using the Pierced Blooms Dies. Then glue them all over the card front. TIP: You don’t need to add them to where the heart will go. To help guide you draw a light outline of the heart using a pencil to guide you. Go past your pencil line so that there’s flowers to come out from behind the heart.
  • Add the card front to the card base.
  • Die cut the large scalloped heart from the Stitched Be Mine dies in Whisper White. You will end up with two die cuts – one cutting out the inside heart and the other the scalloped stitching, keep both.
  • Onto the heart die cut stamp flowers and leaves. I used Rococo Rose, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam. Stamp off to get lighter variations of colour and layer the flowers.
  • Use the same heart die to cut a piece of Foam Adhesive. Try to keep it sitting inside the foam adhesive till you adhered the cardstock to it.
  • Remove the top release paper from the centre heart of the Foam Adhesive and then place the stamped cardstock heart on. Repeat with the scalloped stitched heart. Now you can remove from the Foam Adhesive sheet and adhere to the card base.
  • For the sentiment, white heat emboss the sentiment. TIP: To make the white embossing to stand out more on the light coloured cardstock, add some ink over the sentiment using a Blending Brush. Wipe the heat embossing with a tissue.
  • Add to the card overlapping the heart. The parts that aren’t on the heart add some Stampin’ Dimensionals behind.
  • Take two lengths of white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack and colour one So Saffron using a So Saffron Stampin’ Blends marker. Tie together in a bow and add to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • To finish the card add the tiny white Resin Hearts between the the pierced flower die cuts.

I like to finish of my cards by decorating the inside of the card as well as the envelope. This card is quite heavy on the front, so I’ve added a Whisper White insert (10 x 14.3 cm) inside which I stamped with the flowers. I stamped the same flowers on the envelope.

  • Card Base: Whisper White
  • Card Front: Whisper White (10 x 14.3 cm)
  • Heart: Whisper White
  • Take a piece of Window Sheet and die cut out the branch of leaves and the small group of three flowers from the Pierced Blooms Dies. Using this as a template add Embossing Pate leaves and flowers onto the card front. Set aside to dry.
  • Take the sheet of Paper Blooms DSP which has circles of colour and die cut out some flowers from the Rococo Rose and Petal Pink circle and leaves from the Soft Sea Foam circles. These circles have watercolour feel to them and look so beautiful cut out as flowers.
  • Adhere the card front to the card base. Take the die cut heart and lightly with a pencil trace it about 0.5 cm from the edge onto the card front to give a guide. Layer the die cut flowers and arrange them in a heart shape on top of the pencil line. TIP: Add the flowers first and then put the leaves in. Adhere down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Onto the Whisper White heart stamp the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam. Then using the Window Sheet template add some Embossing Paste flowers. Add to card using Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • On some scraps Whisper White cardstock stamp some small flowers in Petal Pink and Rococo Rose. Fussy cut these and add to the heart and finish off with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the middle

To finish off this card. Inside I added a Embossing Paste leaf and fussy cut flower. On the envelope I stamped the small flowers. Simple but ties into the card.

To complete the card, I white heat embossed the same group of dots on the bottom right corder of a card insert. Added some Soft Sea Foam ink with a Blending Brush. On the envelope I blended some Soft Sea Foam ink behind the envelope flap.

This bundle is so pretty and you can create so many wonderful projects with it. The dies are really just stunning!

Thank you for visiting my blog! I really enjoy sharing with you my creations and I hope that you are inspired to spend some time being creative.

Bye for now!
